Another sketch from my series of the Canal St Martin. I'm hoping to do some more drawing this weekend, and am looking forward to developing my studies into paintings, or possibly prints, at some point soon...
Here are some pieces of jewellery I made recently, using Perspex, silver and other metals. Watch this space for more pictures...I hope to start selling at some point soon.
Every two years my old Cambridge college, Jesus, hosts a wonderful outdoor exhibition of sculpture. It's called 'Sculpture in the Close'. Here are some pictures from this year's show, which I took at the opening. NB, the dinosaurs are now part of Jesus's permanent collection. They're by Jake & Dinos Chapman and first went on show at the last Sculpture in the Close in 2009. I think they look lovely nestled between the football pitch and Library Court.
Spent three days drawing and painting earlier this week - here are some pictures of my work, and of the studio which is magnificent. It's set within what used to be an orphanage and has high ceilings and beautiful crescent shaped windows.
Just returned from beautiful, sunny Croatia where I went on a sea kayaking tour around Hvar and other islands. It was spectacular and I want to go back! Here are some small sketches - didn't have time to do anything bigger but I took lots of pictures so I hope to do some more paintings now I'm back.
Last autumn I set up life drawing sessions at my work. They take place every fortnight or so, on Wednesday evenings, and they're going really well. Here are some pictures from a Watteau-inspired session we did a few weeks ago.
It's been a while since I posted anything... here are some sketches summing up some fun springtime weekends. Hopefully I'll be blogging more regularly from now on. Margate Primrose Hill Hampstead Heath Hackney building
